What we believe

We Believe

The Bible is The Word of God

The scriptures of the Bible are the inspired Word of God.  "For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost."     2 Peter 1:21

"All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness," 2 Timothy 3:16

One True God

He has revealed Himself as having always existed.  "That ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am He; before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me."

Isaiah 43:10

The Lord Jesus Christ is Fully God

"In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God", John 1:1

"And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father), full of grace and truth", John 1:14

Salvation in the name of Jesus

"Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12

Baptism in the name of Jesus

We believe in baptism by immersion in water in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.

Acts 2:38

38 Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

And

Matthew 28:18 - 19

18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

Baptism of the Holy Spirit

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit for power

Matthew 3:11

11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

Acts 1:8

8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

 Divine Healing

Divine healing is from God and is an integral part of the gospel.  Deliverance from sickness is provided in the Atonement (Christ's suffering and death for our reconciliation with God).  Healing is a privilege of all believers.  (Isaiah 53: 4,5;  Matthew 8:16-17; James 5:14--16; 1 Peter 2:24)
